At TSB Supply Chain Ltd we support you in every stage of Product Distribution, including inventory forecasting, product sourcing & pricing, inbound logistics, order pick & pack and outbound logistics. What’s more, our service is totally scalable. This may mean evolving the distribution network into multiple locations, or even a combination of direct fulfilment from your suppliers to your manufacturing sites or direct to your end Customers.
What we do - includes:
Planning and forecasting the replenishment of strategic stocking locations using our web based demand planning & forecasting applications, to ensure the right spares are held in the right place to meet expected demand. Through our web based applications, we use a variety of forecasting techniques and manage multi-echelon, multi-level, multi-channel demand. Put simply, we are able to calculate the required safety stock holdings in each stocking location so that you never miss an order.
We can manage the Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes for standard parts through our online quotation systems, ensuring that we are capturing market pricing for purchases and maximising competition across multiple suppliers. Suppliers can be located anywhere in the world, and this ideal for unlocking the potential from Asia based suppliers.
We can manage the inbound logistics of product from suppliers and manufacturing locations through any mode of transport, including sea, sea/air and airfreight. We help you determine the optimum transport mode and channel, including selection of origin and destination sea ports, airports and cross docking operations if required.
Through our applications suite, Matrix, we can manage the direct distribution of goods and materials from suppliers to Customers or other manufacturing sites, with full visibility and proactive management of any exceptions arising from the process.
For products managed through our distribution centres, we will manage the receipt and inspection processes to ensure that the goods are right according to your specifications, and the timely resolution of any discrepancies.
We will manage the order Pick, Assembly and Packing processes to ensure that Customer orders are fulfilled. This may include the configuration of orders such as the addition of language specific documentation, country specific peripheral items, and packaging types.
We will either utilise our own facilities, or our global partner network to ensure that the optimal point of distribution is not hampered by where we happen to be located ourselves. If we do utilise our own facilities, this may include the use of our secure 55,000 square foot (5,100 square metres) UK Operations Centre in Telford, Shropshire equipped with:
- Pallet racking and shelving for bulk and item storage capabilities
- Order picker, narrow aisle and counter-balance trucks
- Item, carton and pallet storage and picking capabilities
- 24/7/365 security monitoring and response service, and full CCTV surveillance, with Redcare GSM backup
Our web-based Warehouse Management system within Matrix includes full Radio Frequency (bar code) functionality with inventory management by SKU/Part number, location, zone, owner (budget holder) and batch number. We also utilise Bill of materials, alternate parts and substitute parts to manage kitting and order configuration.
We provide full remote visibility of inbound and outbound order and inventory status; remote sales order entry or we accept orders via xml, flat file, csv or any format to suit you. We are experienced in establishing ecommerce capabilities too, and can assist in setting this up and integrating this into our distribution capabilities.
Our range of transport services means that we get the orders to the Customer as quickly and as cost effectively as you require. This can be by express or economy services; by the parcel or consignment; by the pallet or truckload. We leverage our total business to offer the most competitive freight pricing, and provide the visibility of orders through to delivery to the Customer, so that you know the exact status for every order.
